Recently supplied: A foil and braid screened multicore control cable. Specifically this was a 2c x 1.5 colour coded version with a LSZH outer jacket.
This double screened CY control cable is used as an interconnect cable for industrial equipment, machinery, conveyors, and HVAC applications. The cable has a dual screen construction to protect against EMI (electro magnetic interference). Suitable for accurate signal transmission in low/medium voltage installations.
We purchase several sizes and sheath colours in grey and black on an ongoing basis. Cable is consistently fit for purpose and very competitively priced.
Construction
Various plain copper class 5 solid conductor sizes are available from 0.5 – 16mm2. Numbers of cores range from 2-25. Cores can be number or colour coded. Core insulation and outer jacket is manufactured from pvc or LSZH material. Cores are twisted together with an overall aluminium foil shield and a tinned copper aluminium braid with minimum 60% coverage.
The cable is 300/500V rated. It is manufactured generally to VDE 0812 0814 0245 BS EN 50525-1, 50525-2-51, 50525-2-11.
