H07 cables are a category of electrical cables commonly used in residential, commercial, and industrial installations. These cables are known for their high performance, safety features, and versatility. The “H07” designation refers to a particular type of cable that adheres to certain European standards and specifications, particularly for use in various electrical systems where flexibility, reliability, and safety are essential.

Applications of H07 Cables

H07 cables have a wide range of applications, making them versatile for both residential and industrial purposes:

  1. Residential Wiring: H07V cables (such as H07V-K and H07V-R) are commonly used in residential buildings for lighting, power circuits, and appliances. Their ability to withstand moderate heat and mechanical stress makes them a reliable choice for fixed wiring.

  2. Outdoor and Industrial Use: H07RN-F cables are used for outdoor installations, including garden lighting, outdoor tools, and machinery. Their rubber insulation provides excellent protection against environmental factors such as water, oils, and UV rays, making them ideal for more demanding conditions.

  3. Electrical Equipment and Machinery: In industrial settings, H07 cables are frequently used to power machines and tools, providing a flexible, durable, and safe electrical connection. The cables can be used for both fixed and mobile installations, depending on the type of cable selected.

  4. Heavy-duty Applications: H07 cables are also used in heavy-duty applications, such as power distribution, mining, and construction, due to their robust insulation and resistance to environmental wear and tear.

Our client specified white rubber as opposed to the normal black and we’ve been very pleased to take delivery of  some very high quality flexible cable in 3 sizes.

In this instance a WHITE rubber cable was supplied

but the construction is still ethylene propylene rubber (EPR) insulated cores with an overall jacket made from polychloroprene (PCP) which is the chemical name for neoprene.

Conductors are annealed plain copper class 5 conforming to IEC 60228.  The insulation conforms to EN 50363-1 and the sheath conforms to EN 50363-2-1.

This is just one example of a generic cable being customised by its WHITE colour at the request of the customer. For your branding options or more technical information contact us today.
