A Cat6A U/FTP armoured network cable with support for bandwidth up to 500MHz meeting requirements of 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GBaseT). Ideal specification for cables which may be exposed to mechanical damage. They can be installed above ground or directly buried. The cable is rodent proof and water resistant. Typical application locations include public venues, shopping centres, airports, car parks, warehouses and factories.

Construction of the Cat6A armoured in photo is made up of
4pairs of solid 23AWG bare copper conductors insulated with FPE (Skin-Foam-Skin). Each pair is individually shielded with aluminium foil. A tinned copper drainwire is in contact with all 4 pairs and pairs are insulated with a LSZH compound. The cable is then armoured with 29 strands of 0.8mm steel wire which is wrapped in mylar before being finally insulated with a LSZH outer jacket.
Overall diameter is 11mm with a 12 x diameter bend radius. Operating temperature is -20DegC to +70DegC.
Other variants include Cat5 and Cat7 armoured with solid and stranded conductors and a range of jacket options to suit indoor/outdoor applications: eg. soft flexible pvc, LSZH, TPE and PE.
The cable complies with EU RoHS 2 Directive 2011/65/EU and REACH.
