Coaxial Cable 3002 16 core for use in transmission equipment cabling.
A flexible miniature coaxial cable manufactured to CW1383 for single cores and bunched into 8 and 16 cores according to CW1407.
Very well manufactured 16 way coax. This is not the first time we’ve had 3002 from Deva.
The cable construction is 16 cores each with
a plain annealed copper wire conductor measuring nominal 0.31mm diameter uniformly covered with polyethylene compound Type 03 to BS 6234. The outer conductor is 2 braids comprising 0.1mm tinned annealed copper wire woven as 16 x 80 and then 16 x 96. The 2 braids are evenly wound and are closely fitted but not adhering to the PE dialectric.
The braided cable is then sheathed with type TM1 pvc compound to BS 7655 closely fitting to the braid.
16 individual coaxes are then stranded in 2 concentric layers: the inner layer of 5 coaxials around a central filler and the second layer of 11 coaxials to make 16. Each coax is numbered 1 to 16 to facilitate termination on connectors Type 43.
The 16 cores are then helically lapped with a clear polyester tape with a minimum overlap of 15%. This is then over sheathed with type TM1 pvc compound to BS 7655.
The DCR of the inner conductors shall not exceed 23.9ohm per 100m.
Impedance at 5Mhz shall be 75ohm +/- 4ohm and the attenuation at 5Mhz shall not exceed 4.8dB per 100m
We can supply single, 8 way or 16 way configurations for this high quality telecoms coax. For more technical information contact us today.
